SMRT Buses Launches Its First Cross-Border Service 950
Come Sunday, 19 September 2004, commuters can look forward to seamless travel across the Causeway when SMRT Buses launches its first Cross-Border Service 950 which plies between the Woodlands Regional Interchange (WRI) and Johor Bahru (JB), Malaysia.
Service 950 will ply from WRI via Woodlands Avenue 3 (Marsiling Station), Woodlands Centre Road, Woodlands Checkpoint, Johor Bahru Checkpoint to Kotaraya II Terminal.
This service will provide an attractive mode of travel for commuters who wish to travel between Singapore and Johor Bahru. Commuters can use our extensive SMRT train and bus network to travel to either Woodlands Regional Interchange or Marsiling Station to connect to Service 950, which will bring them directly to Johor Bahru.
Hence, commuters working or staying in areas such as Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Boon Lay, Changi, Marine Parade, Sembawang, Sengkang, Tampines, Toa Payoh, Tuas and Yishun will now have a more accessible and hassle-free mode of travel to Johor Bahru.
